About the event
If you’ve ever struggled with how to talk to senior leaders about Agile, delivery, and product
decisions, you’re not alone. Many product people feel confident working within their own teams, but things get harder when the conversation has to go “up the chain” – to executives, directors, and other senior stakeholders.
For this special evening, Tampa Bay Product Group is welcoming Alistair Cockburn – Agile Manifesto co-author and creator of Heart of Agile – together with local Heart of Agile organizer Patrick Cannon. They’ll host an interactive session focused on better conversations up the chain about value, risk, and ways of working, using the four Heart of Agile imperatives – Collaborate, Deliver, Reflect, Improve – as a simple backbone.
You’ll work with real situations from your own context, explore where conversations with leaders tend to get stuck, and come away with practical ideas you can use to have more confident, non-confrontational conversations back at work.

Who should attend
Tampa Bay Product Group events are for anyone involved in creating products, whether physical or software – product managers, product owners, designers, engineers, QA, data folks, delivery leaders, and others who care about how products get built.
This evening will be especially relevant if:
You’re a product leader, senior individual contributor, or manager who wants better ways to talk with executives about value, risk, and trade-offs.
You’re earlier in your product career and want to build confidence in managing up.
You work with Agile teams and often find that “Agile only goes so far” once the conversation moves into governance, funding, or organizational change.
