Want to sew but intimidated by the machinery? Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop designed to take the mystery out of using a sewing machine. We'll go over the anatomy of a machine, set up a machine from bobbins to presser feet, demonstrate various types of machines, and talk about troubleshooting common issues. We'll have time for everyone to practice stitching with guidance, and will sew a simple, useful, drawstring bag. No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided!

Instructor: Sara
Sara has been crafting for so long that it made her feel old when she counted up how many decades she has been knitting, crocheting, sewing, etc. Her collection of crafting machines (including 8 or 9 sewing machines, two embroidery machines, two sergers, and one cover-stitch machine) and supplies spans two states, but she's always looking for new tools, techniques, and ideas for making useful and not-so-useful things, and loves sharing the joy of making.
